We often hear from legal professionals who are “too busy chopping wood to sharpen the axe.” That is they spend so much time working in their practices (juggling demanding client matters) that they don’t work on their practices. Marketing professionals can also fall victim to this pattern if they’re not careful. At Omnizant, our team is dedicated to continually strengthening their knowledge of digital marketing best practices and leveraging industry-leading tools that will help increase our clients’ visibility and generate more business.

Below, you’ll find a few of our favorite resources:

There are so many different avenues for information on design and development trends, useful tricks, SEO industry news and things tangentially related to web design, but WebDesigner News site does a great job of giving you a broad view of all of that and more. There is not a week that goes by that I don’t learn something new from one of the articles there. In fact, I have it set as my homepage.

  • Bryan Vandenheuvel, UI/Design Lead

I love the Screaming Frog SEO Spider and use it daily. This tool allows me to quickly and easily see the structure of a site from the perspective of a search engine. It’s invaluable for performing site audits, identifying issues with a website, and countless other tasks.

  • Robert Schmid, VP of Omnizant

One of my favorite go-to tools for project management is Trello. I love that Trello lets you set up to-do lists and tag individual cards with due dates, members, labels, and more. What’s more, you can attach files, links, images in each card. It helps me and the team complete projects on a timely matter.

  • Nicole Romanelli, Client Success Manager

One resource I can’t live without is Sketch. Sketch is a digital design tool that allows me to create captivating websites for our clients. The program is fast, intuitive and a dream to work on for web designers like me.

  • Rosalee Valenzuela, Graphic Designer

I cannot live without Google Ads Keyword Planner. Not only does it show how much a certain keyword may cost for a specific location, but it also is useful in generating new keyword ideas. This way I can come up with the best budget to fit our client’s needs as well as explore the most profitable keywords for their practice. Let’s also not forget about seasonal search volume trends! The search term, “bathing suits” is most searched for in April and May — people are getting ready for summer! With this information, websites can get ready for an increase in CPC as well as optimize their ads to outrank other competitors.

  • Erica Geiger, Marketing Coordinator

Many of our clients host informative seminars and events in their community, and the Events Calendar (a WordPress plugin) is a super-easy way to display and advertise these events on their websites. The interface is simple to navigate from both our and our clients’ perspective and has a myriad of add-ons available to further customize and add features like RSVP and ticketing.

  • Lorraine Ballero, Creative Specialist

Feedly is a great tool. It allows you to easily track and read your favorite publications; that’s huge for many of our clients who need to closely follow certain trends or topics. In my day-to-day role, it allows me to easily see when a client has published a new article, so we can work with them to distribute the information in a timely and effective manner.
